We offer online jewelry-making workshops (using the Zoom app)
and in-person private lessons at our home studio in Milwaukee.

Intro to Tube-Setting • online presentation/demos and Q&A
This four-hour online presentation is designed for metalsmiths who want to set faceted gemstones into readymade tube settings AND learn how to make their own from scratch using tubing. We'll cover common sizes of readymade settings, parts of a faceted stone, how to solder, how to support the setting, and using setting burs. You'll learn about a variety of uses for these versatile settings and lots more over four hours, with close-up views of the live action. Plenty of time for Q&A too! Four hours with break, $75
Silverwing Pendant with Tube Setting • two-day online workshop
Our Silverwing pendant is an intermediate project that will take your metalworking skill set to a new level.
• Improve sawing skill as you create an intricate silhouette
• Fabricating a curved frame and solder it to the backplate
• Make an unusual bail from tubing and wire
• Create a tube setting from scratch, cut a seat, and set a stone with a setting punch

Northern Nights Ring • four-day online workshop
This is a four-session online workshop over two consecutive weekends for intermediate-advanced students. You will boost your skills in multistep soldering and fabrication as you make this amazing Modernist-style ring. The layered design features a bezel set atop an open chamber that lets light bounce through a custom-cut rutilated quartz cabochon. Get inspired and gain confidence in your own design work as you work through this challenging project.
